I, Vidya Khandagle, aged 30, completed my education upto Std. 10th. I live with my husband and two daughters in a small rented house at Kailash Nagar in Thane.
My husband is a daily wage earner and does not have regular work. I enrolled my daughters at CORP’s Crèche and Pre-school programme enabling me to work as a domestic help. At CORP’s centre, I regularly
attended the parents meeting every month. Drishti’s kind and generous support and guidance enabled CORP to conduct women’s empowerment programme. Due to constant motivation and support offered by Drishti and CORP, I was able to be a part of these sessions. I participated and worked for Immunisation camps such as the pulse polio camps at CORP center organised by Thane Municipal Corporation.
I wished to become a nurse so by the virtue of the aid provided by Drishti and CORP I pursued a 1 year Bedside Assistant course. At present, I am working with Global Healthcare Hospital. I am extremely happy that my dream has come true.
